Nigel Miller will referee Saturday's League One fixture between Bolton and Port Vale at Macron Stadium.
Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 2-0 victory at Bury on Monday, while Vale were held to a 2-2 draw by Oxford United two days earlier.
Miller, who will take charge of the game, has officiated 11 matches so far this season - issuing 19 yellow cards and four red.
His most recent outing was on October 22, when he was the man in the middle for Notts County's 2-1 win at Portsmouth in League Two. The County Durham official produced two yellow cards in that game, as well as a red to Notts forward Aaron Collins.
Miller's last match in charge of Bolton was in December 2015, when they played out a 2-2 draw at home to Fulham in the Championship. One caution was issued that afternoon, to visiting defender Richard Stearman.
The last time he refereed a Port Vale fixture was on May 8, as they were beaten 5-0 by Walsall at Vale Park. Three players entered the book that day, including home duo Richard Duffy and Sam Foley.
