Bolton have missed out on the signing of Peter Odemwingie, after it was confirmed he had joined Rotherham United on a short-term deal.
Odemwingie, who was available as a free agent following his release by Stoke City, has signed a contract until January with the Millers, where he becomes the club's first signing under the management of Kenny Jackett.
The 35-year-old held talks with Wanderers boss Phil Parkinson last week and was invited to train at their Lostock training centre over the weekend, but Odemwingie has taken up the opportunity to continue his career at Championship level.
