The transfer window has reached its final day and speculation dominates in the closing hours at Bolton Wanderers.

Manager Phil Parkinson has openly admitted he would like to bring upwards of four new players to Macron Stadium on Wednesday, but those plans are dependent on moving players out beforehand as the club battle against the terms of an embargo placed upon them by the EFL.

Reports suggest Wanderers have to work within the confines of a 23-man first-team squad, which currently has one free slot after Ben Amos completed a season-long loan move to Cardiff City last week.

Keshi Anderson could potentially be the first new man through the door, after the Crystal Palace forward was granted permission to travel north for talks.

The 21-year-old began his senior career at non-league Barton Rovers, but completed a move to Palace in February 2015 after netting a hat-trick against them whilst on trial at Brentford.

Anderson completed a loan move to Doncaster Rovers in September 2015, scoring three goals in nine appearances, before a broken leg cut short the deal.

Ian Lawlor is said to be another player on the radar of Parkinson. Lawlor, 21, is on the books as a goalkeeper at Manchester City, where he is severely down the pecking order.

A Republic of Ireland under-21 international, Lawlor has enjoyed previous spells out on loan at both Barnet and Bury, but has yet to make his senior bow at the Etihad Stadium.

Wanderers are also being linked with free agent Tom Hateley, a midfielder most recently of Polish club Slask Wroclaw, as well as Arsenal's Gedion Zelalem on a loan deal.
