Bolton have allowed out-of-favour midfielder Tom Walker to join near neighbours Bury on a season-long loan deal.

Walker, who came through the youth system at Macron Stadium, made his senior debut in January 2015 and has since gone on to make a total of 20 appearances for Wanderers.

His most recent outing came in the EFL Cup defeat at Blackpool on August 9, while he hasn't featured in league action since the 3-1 defeat at Brentford on April 5.

The 20-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and it would appear Bolton boss Phil Parkinson has set his sights elsewhere, with Walker allowed to see out the remainder of his deal at Gigg Lane.
