Darren Pratley is to undergo surgery, after scans revealed ligament damage in addition to the broken leg sustained in the opening-day win over Sheffield United.
Pratley suffered the injury late on against the Blades and was forced to leave the field on a stretcher, with initial diagnosis ruling him out for between eight and ten weeks.
That timescale has been extended, however, with ligament damage and subsequent rehabilitation set to keep him out for upwards of 14 weeks.
