Gavin Ward will referee Saturday's League One fixture between AFC Wimbledon and Bolton at the Cherry Red Records Stadium.
Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 4-2 extra-time defeat at Blackpool on Tuesday, while the Dons were beaten 3-2 at Peterborough United on the same evening - both of which were in the first round of the EFL Cup.
Ward, who will take charge of the game, has officiated two matches so far this season - issuing seven yellow cards and no red.
His most recent outing was on August 10, when he was the man in the middle for Luton Town's 3-1 victory over Aston Villa in the EFL Cup. The Surrey official produced four yellow cards in that game, with each side receiving two apiece.
Ward's last match in charge of Bolton was in February 2013, when they held Derby County to a 1-1 draw at the iPro Stadium. One caution was issued that night, which went to Wanderers defender Zat Knight.
The last time he refereed an AFC Wimbledon fixture was in October 2015, as they secured a 2-0 home win over Barnet in League Two. Two players entered the book that day, both of whom were on the visiting side.
