Bolton Sign Andrew Taylor on Loan from Wigan Athletic

Bolton have completed the signing of Andrew Taylor, on a season-long loan from Wigan Athletic.

The 30-year-old, who primarily operates as a left-back, has entered the final year of his contract at the DW Stadium and will become a free agent at the end of his stint with Wanderers.

Taylor came through the youth system at Middlesbrough, where, alongside David Wheater, he was part of the squad that won the FA Youth Cup in 2004.

After more than 100 league appearances for Boro, Taylor, a former England youth international, completed a move to Cardiff City in the summer of 2011 and was a pivotal member of the side that secured promotion to the Premier League two years later.

He made 19 appearances during the Bluebirds' solitary campaign in the top-flight, before completing a free transfer to Wigan, who were then under the stewardship of Owen Coyle.

Taylor played 27 times in his debut campaign with the Latics, but soon fell out of favour under new management and spent last season on loan at Reading - for whom he made 23 appearances.
