Darren Bond will referee Tuesday's EFL Cup first round tie between Blackpool and Bolton at Bloomfield Road.

Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 1-0 victory over Sheffield United on the opening day of the League One season, while the Seasiders were 2-0 winners over Exeter City on their return to League Two.

Bond, who will take charge of the game, has yet to officiate a match this term. Last season, however, he oversaw a total of 39 fixtures, issuing 103 yellow cards and five red.

His most recent competitive outing was on May 7, when he was the man in the middle for Wolverhampton Wanderers' 2-1 victory over Sheffield Wednesday on the final day of the Championship campaign. The Lancashire official kept his cards in his pocket that afternoon.

Bond has never previously taken charge of Bolton, but has refereed a Blackpool fixture - the most recent of which was in October 2014, when they were beaten 4-2 at Huddersfield Town. Five players were cautioned that day, three of whom were on the visiting side.

Below is the full set of officials for Tuesday's game between Blackpool and Bolton:

Referee: Darren Bond
Assistant Referees: Mark Dwyer and Paul Hodskinson
Fourth Official: Kevin Mulraine
