Bury have completed the signing of goalkeeper Paul Rachubka, who moves to Gigg Lane on a free transfer following his release by Bolton.

Rachubka joined Wanderers in September 2015, where he served as backup to first-choice stopper Ben Amos, and made a total of eight appearances during his solitary campaign at Macron Stadium.

The 35-year-old was allowed to leave at the end of his contract and will now link up with the Trotters' League One rivals Bury, for whom he was an unused substitute in an opening day 2-0 victory over Charlton Athletic.

Rachubka has signed a 12-month deal with the Shakers and joins former Bolton duo Neil Danns and Niall Maher in making the short switch in the current window.
