Bolton have come to terms on the release of Filip Twardzik, after a mutual agreement was reached to cancel the player's contract.

Twardzik joined Wanderers from Celtic in February 2015 and scored on his debut for the club, after coming on as a substitute in a 4-1 defeat at Derby County.

However, the 23-year-old failed to establish himself at Macron Stadium and would go on to make a total of just five appearances for the Trotters, the most recent of which coming as a stoppage time substitute in a 3-2 loss to Cardiff City in December 2015.

The former Czech Republic youth international spent the final few weeks of last season on trial at Slavia Prague, who declined an option to make the move permanent but may now explore the possibility after Twardzik became a free agent.
