Arsenal have completed the signing of Rob Holding, who joins the Gunners from Bolton for an undisclosed fee, reported to be in the region of £2million.
Holding has signed a 'long-term' contract at the Emirates Stadium and becomes Arsene Wenger's third signing of the summer transfer window.
After turning down an opening bid of £750,000 back in May, Wanderers have stood firm on their valuation of the England under-21 international and have secured a deal which guarantees a percentage of any sell-on fee, as well as the potential for future bonuses based in individual, club and international success.
Upon completing the transfer, Holding expressed his delight at securing a 'dream' move. Speaking to Arsenal.com, he said: "It's a massive club to have signed for. It's something you dream of as a kid, so I can't wait to get started.
"I couldn't believe it at first because of the size of the club. It was just a long way to get it done and get down here.
"There's massive competition here and it will only improve me. It will push me to new boundaries and hopefully I can prove my worth.
"Bolton will always have a place in my heart and I’ll always be keeping an eye on their results. I’ve got loads of friends there and coaches who I’ll still talk to there, so I’ll always stay in touch and I wish them the best for the future."
