Burnley have completed the signing of Jamie Thomas, who joins the Clarets on a free transfer following his release by Bolton.
After eight years at home town club Blackpool, Thomas linked up with Wanderers at under-16 level and progressed through the academy to become a mainstay of the club's development squad in recent years.
He looked set to be handed a senior debut at the end of last season, but remained an unused substitute in games against Cardiff City and Hull City, respectively, before the Trotters' ongoing financial issues meant he wasn't offered fresh terms at the end of his contract.
A Wales under-19 international, Thomas has signed a two-year deal at Turf Moor, with the club having an option of a further year, and he will initially link up with the Clarets' development squad.
