Bolton have decided to cancel a pre-season friendly against HB Koge, instead opting to focus on training during their stay in Denmark.
Wanderers are due to fly out to the continent following Saturday's game at Atherton Collieries and had been scheduled to face Koge on July 6, but newly appointed manager Phil Parkinson has had his request to call off the game granted.
In a statement, posted at bwfc.co.uk, the club apologised for their decision, saying: "Bolton Wanderers' pre-season fixture against Danish side Danish HB Koge has been cancelled.
"The game was initially due to take place on Wednesday 6 July, but after further consideration and discussion it was felt that it was too early and as such the game will no longer take place.
"Wanderers will instead focus on training at their base in Malmo, before concluding their time in Scandinavia with the game against FC Helsingor on Saturday 9 July.
"The club would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused."
Supporters flying out to Scandinavia who had already ordered match tickets are being urged to email media@bwfc.co.uk, where they will be presented with the opportunity to meet the new manager and observe a training session.
