Lee Collins will referee Saturday's Championship fixture between Cardiff City and Bolton at the Cardiff City Stadium.
Wanderers go into the game on the back of a goalless draw at home to Charlton Athletic on Tuesday, while the Bluebirds were beaten 2-1 at Brentford on the same evening.
Collins, who will take charge of the game, has officiated 21 matches so far this season - issuing 81 yellow cards and two red.
His most recent outing was on April 19, when he was the man in the middle for Wycombe Wanderers' 0-0 draw with Yeovil Town in League Two. The Surrey official produced four yellow cards in that game, with them being shared at two per side.
Collins' last match in charge of Bolton was in March 2013, when they were 3-2 winners against Barnsley at Oakwell. Two players were cautioned that day, with Wanderers' Darren Pratley having his name taken.
He has never previously refereed a Cardiff fixture.
