Bolton play host to Charlton Athletic on Tuesday, with the visitors knowing anything but victory at Macron Stadium will see them join Wanderers in League One next season.

The Trotters' relegation to the third tier was confirmed with defeat at Derby County 10 days ago, while defeat to the same opposition at the weekend left the Addicks on the brink of the drop, also.

Bolton were much-improved in an unfortunate 2-1 loss to Middlesbrough last time out and are expected to stick with a similar side to the one that started that match, with Emile Heskey set to be handed a late test as he looks to prove his fitness.

With Gary Madine continuing to miss out with a hip injury, Kaiyne Woolery could come into contention should Heskey fail to make the starting line-up, Zach Clough could be utilised in a more attacking role if the opportunity arise to do so.

Dorian Dervite has returned to training after an ankle problem kept him sidelined, but he is unlikely to feature against his former club and is set to join Wellington Silva (ankle) in the stands.

Max Clayton (hamstring) won't feature again this season, just like Jay Spearing, who continues to sit out as one more appearance will trigger a bonus payment to Liverpool following his transfer in 2013.

Charlton boss Jose Riga knows his players must be at their absolute best if they are to delay their inevitable relegation, but has been dealt a major blow with news that Yaya Sanogo and Stephen Henderson are unlikely to feature due to hamstring injuries.

Berg Gudmundsson is a doubt after suffering a groin injury in the weekend loss to Derby.
