Bolton will be relegated if they do not win at Derby County, although results elsewhere could seal their fate regardless of Saturday's outcome.

After completing a full calendar year without a win on the road, the pressure is on Wanderers to put an immediate end to that run if they are to delay their drop into League One.

Jimmy Phillips has endured a miserable spell as interim manager, following the dismissal of Neil Lennon last Month, having lost all three games in charge and overseen a period that has brought just one goal for and a staggering 10 against.

They will look to bounce back from their midweek loss at Brentford with the likely inclusion of Rob Holding, who sat out the game at Griffin Park following his red card against Reading last weekend.

Holding should come back at the expense of Alex Finney, who was substituted at half-time after struggling in the capital, and David Wheater's return to fitness could provide a second opportunity for Derik Osede to impress in a defensive midfield role.

Wheater has been included in the travelling party, despite being disciplined during the week after an offensive gesture was captured on camera, while Liam Trotter could also feature after he received the same punishment.

Stephen Dobbie will be assessed after taking the week to recover from a heavy blow to the head, although Mark Davies is a doubt because of a stomach bug and the quartet of Gary Madine (hip), Wellington Silva (groin), Max Clayton (hamstring) and Dorian Dervite (ankle) remain sidelined.

Derby look set to welcome Will Hughes back into the first-team fold, as he prepares to mark the completion of a return from knee surgery.

Hughes lasted just over half-an-hour of the reverse fixture on the opening day, before being stretchered off at Macron Stadium following an innocuous fall.

Markus Olsson should be fit to feature after coming off with an Achilles problem against Hull City during the week, although Bradley Johnson is a doubt after suffering a knee injury in the same game.

Lee Grant is unavailable after undergoing surgery on his groin, so Jonathan Mitchell is in contention for an unlikely place amongst the substitutes as the Rams look to provide cover for Scott Carson in goal.
