Neil Danns won his 3rd international cap on Tuesday and was on the scoresheet, as Guyana thrashed Anguilla 7-0 in the Caribbean Cup.

In a qualifying fixture ahead of the 2017 tournament, Guyana, the nation of Danns' grandfather, cruised to victory at the National Stadium in Providence, as they moved straight to the top of Group 5.

The Golden Jaguars took the lead inside 11 minutes courtesy of Dwight Peters and that advantage was doubled just three minutes later when Christopher Nurse found the net.

Peters added his second, and Guyana's third, on the half-hour, before Danns notched his second international goal to make the score 4-0 with only 34 minutes on the clock.

The lead was stretched to five just before the break, as Gregory Richardson capped a memorable opening 45 minutes for the home side, while further strikes after the interval from Vurlon Mills and Marcel Barrington completed the scoring.

Guyana return to action next Tuesday, when they continue their Caribbean Cup campaign with a trip to Puerto Rico.
