Brett Warburton and Richard Gee are to leave Bolton Wanderers, after it emerged they are to step down from their positions on the club's board.

Warburton, who has been associated with Wanderers for more than 30 years, was appointed to the board in November 1991 and most recently held the role of vice-chairman, acting as a backup to the late Phil Gartside.

Gee, meanwhile, was appointed to the board in February 2013, where he played a major part in the Middlebrook Masterplan project and recent sale of car parking facilities to Prescot Business Park Ltd.

Official documents at Companies House state Anthony Massey, finance director at Macron Stadium, will remain in his present role, while Dean Holdsworth and Ken Anderson are expected to be legally recognised as directors in the near future, following their acquisition of the club from Eddie Davies.

Holdsworth will take on the role of chief executive officer (CEO), while Anderson has been appointed chairman.
