Fabrice Muamba has taken a giant step towards football management, after successfully completing a UEFA B Licence course.

Muamba, who was forced into retirement in August 2012, five months after suffering a cardiac arrest whilst playing for Bolton in an FA Cup sixth-round tie at Tottenham Hotspur, has previously trained for a career in journalism, but has added another feather to his cap by returning to the football field.

The 27-year-old, along with support from the Professional Footballers' Association, now holds the necessary qualification to coach at academy level, allowing him to work towards the A Licence that could potentially see him manage at professional level within the next two years.
