The Bolton Wanderers Supporters' Trust (BWFCST) has reached its first major milestone, having converted more than 1,000 pledges into paid annual memberships.
Since holding their inaugural meeting on January 6, where fans voted unanimously in favour of the Trusts' creation, roughly 6,000 individuals pledged to join by registering their interest in becoming part of the group.
After completing the legal process of establishing the Trust and opening banking facilities, they last week began to receive payments from fans wishing to stay true to their word by donating £10 that, it is hoped, will help give them a voice in the future running of their beloved club.
By becoming part of the Trust, members will have the option to take part in future voting processes, the first of which is expected to decide who will take charge once the initial Steering Group step aside.
