Details of demands made by Eddie Davies, which threaten to collapse a takeover deal at Bolton, have come to public knowledge.
Davies, who is willing to write off close to £200million in debt owed to his parent company - Moonshift Investments Limited - has granted preferred bidder status to Sports Shield Investments, a company spearheaded by former Wanderers forward Dean Holdsworth.
With a winding-up order to be heard at the High Court on Monday, over unpaid VAT and PAYE tax bills amounting to £3million, Davies had been seeking to conclude a sale prior to Saturday's game against Queens Park Rangers, but potential reasons behind the delay have begun to emerge.
Alan Nixon, journalist for The Sun newspaper, claims Davies is seeking bonus payments from television and sponsorship revenue in the event that Bolton appear at Championship level or above at any stage before 2021, as well as demanding a suite is named in his honour at Macron Stadium.
A number of interested parties have distanced themselves from Wanderers in recent months, having refused to listen to Davies' requests, while a deal with Sports Shield was seriously in doubt as of Friday evening.
