The Bolton Wanderers Supporters' Trust (BWFCST) has received a Certificate of Registration and is now able to operate as a legal entity.

On January 6, upwards of 1,000 followers of the club attended the inaugural BWFCST meeting at Macron Stadium, where attendees voted unanimously in favour of the Trust's formation.

Under the guidance of Supporters Direct, BWFCST applied for and have since taken delivery of registration documents from the Financial Conduct Authority, which sees the Trust recognised as a Community Benefit Society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014.

As of Monday evening, around 4,300 fans had pledged membership to the Trust - with those aged 16 and over contributing £10 for annual membership.

That number is expected to rise on Tuesday evening, with a host of volunteers, backed by former players John McGinlay and Kevin Davies, present around the ground ahead of Wanderers' FA Cup third-round replay against non-league Eastleigh, advising their target audience how to become a member.
