Bishop's Stortford have extended the loan of Bolton goalkeeper Ross Fitzsimons until February 8, 2016.

Fitzsimons linked up with the National League South side in December and had been due to return to Wanderers following the expiry of his deal on Thursday.

With Ben Amos suspended for the FA Cup third round replay against Eastleigh, Trotters boss Neil Lennon had considered bringing Fitzsimons back into the fold but that place is now likely to go to development squad goalkeeper Harry Campbell.

Fitzsimons has impressed during his brief stay at the ProKit UK Stadium and is expected to start when they play host to Ware in the quarter-finals of the Herts Senior Cup.
