Reports in Italy suggest both Atalanta and Ascoli are interested in signing out-of-favour Francesco Pisano from Bolton in the January transfer window.

Pisano was released from his contract at Cagliari at the end of last season and linked up with Wanderers on a free transfer in August, committing his future to the club until the summer of 2017.

The 29-year-old made his debut for the Trotters in a 2-2 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion in September, but has featured just twice since and hasn't figured since coming on as a late substitute in a goalless draw at Preston North End in October.

Bolton boss Neil Lennon has rotated players including Prince-Desir Gouano, Josh Vela and Rob Holding in the right-back role in recent weeks, seemingly dropping Pisano down the pecking order and potentially towards the exit door at Macron Stadium.
