Neil Lennon is expected to rotate his squad ahead of Monday's visit of Blackburn Rovers, as Bolton look to end a dismal 2015 on a high.

Following defeat at Rotherham United on Boxing Day, Wanderers will end the year at the bottom of the Championship and enter the New Year under a transfer embargo a HMRC winding-up hearing looming large.

Back to on-field matters, Bolton will likely be without the services of Emile Heskey, after he limped out of the weekend loss at the AESSEAL New York Stadium with what appeared to be a hamstring injury.

Gary Madine came on in his place and could be handed a recall to the starting line-up, with Zach Clough his most likely partner providing he shows no signs of fatigue after recently returning from three months on the sidelines.

Mark Davies and Josh Vela both missed the Boxing Day game with knee injuries, although speculation continues to link the duo with moves away from Macron Stadium, while Shola Ameobi remains sidelined with a groin problem.

Like Davies and Vela, Dean Moxey has been attracting interest from Championship clubs, with rumours hinting he could be granted a free transfer to Bristol City or Wolverhampton Wanderers, so Jose Manuel Casado is on standby for a return to the side.

Wellington Silva could make his first start since October, after recovering from a torn hamstring, but Max Clayton remains on the treatment table and is unlikely to figure again this season.

Blackburn boss Paul Lambert, who was a teammate of Lennon during their days at Celtic, may be able to call on Corry Evans for their short journey across Lancashire, after being given extra time to recover from a groin strain.

Tom Lawrence could feature for one of the final times, with a return to parent club Leicester City being considered, but Rovers will definitely be without Jason Lowe, who is a long-term absentee because of a foot injury.

Bolton Wanderers: from: Amos, Rachubka, Campbell, Gouano, Moxey, Dervite, Osede, Casado, Pisano, Wilson, Wheater, Taylor, Holding, Vela, Feeney, Spearing, Davies, Danns, Pratley, Silva, Twardzik, Woolery, Walker, Clough, Madine, Heskey, Dobbie
