Zach Clough could feature for the first time in three months on Tuesday, as Bolton prepare to face Charlton Athletic at The Valley.

Clough has been absent since September 15, when he left the field during Wanderers' goalless draw against Sheffield Wednesday with a dislocated shoulder.

He will be assessed ahead of kick-off in the capital, where he may be called upon to fill the void left by injury to Shola Ameobi - after he picked up a groin strain in the weekend defeat at Hull City.

Gary Madine is available after missing that game at the KC Stadium through illness, while Darren Pratley (concussion), Josh Vela (arm) and Dorian Dervite (knee) look set to figure after suffering blows against the Tigers.

Jose Manuel Casado is available after serving a one-match suspension, but Wanderers remain without the services of Wellington Silva, Max Clayton and Niall Maher, all of whom are missing with hamstring injuries.

Charlton interim head coach Karel Fraeye may decide to field a familiar face, with recent signing Ricardo Vaz Te now on the books of the Addicks.

Vaz Te came through the academy ranks at Bolton, representing the club at senior level between 2004 and 2010, but a succession of career-threatening knee injuries restricted him to just 78 appearances - during which he scored seven goals.

The former Portugal youth international could lead the line against his former employers, while leading goalscorer Johnnie Jackson is a doubt.

Patrick Bauer serves the final game of a two-match ban, while Ahmed Kashi, Cristian Ceballos and Igor Vetokele are all sidelined.
