Manchester City have completed the free signing of Luke Brattan, who has been loaned straight to Bolton until January 3, 2016.
Brattan was available as a free agent after leaving Australian side Brisbane Roar in August, following a dispute over unpaid pension funds related to his playing contract.
The 25-year-old signed a four-year deal with City on Monday morning and has been loaned immediately to Wanderers, where he will add extra competition to a midfield suffering with the losses of Wellington Silva, Mark Davies and Jay Spearing.
Despite being born in Hull, Brattan represented Australia at youth level and received his first call-up to the senior squad for their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Bangladesh during the summer.
