Liam Trotter marked his Nottingham Forest debut with a goal, as his stoppage time strike helped his new club come from behind to draw 1-1 with Ipswich Town.

Trotter, who completed an emergency 28-day loan move to the City Ground on the morning of the game, started in central midfield against the club with whom he began his professional career.

The 27-year-old was denied just before the break by an outstanding save from Ipswich goalkeeper Dean Gerken and the visitors looked set to take all three points when Jonathan Parr put Town ahead with 16 minutes to go, only for Trotter to get the better of Gerken in the final minute, reacting quickest to fire home after Piotr Malarczyk had cleared an effort off the line.

The draw saw Forest remain 16th in the Championship, four points clear of the bottom three, while Ipswich dropped to 13th, three points above Dougie Freedman's side.
