Andy Walker donned a Bolton shirt once again on Sunday, as he raised awareness of the Burnden Park Disaster by completing the Great Scottish Run Half Marathon.

Walker, who represented Wanderers between 1991 and 1994, was one of more than 30,000 people to take part in the annual event in Glasgow, where he posted a time of 1:52:19.

The 50-year-old completed the run wearing the Trotters' limited edition third shirt, which has been produced to mark the 70th anniversary of the Burnden Disaster and raise £10,000 for the Bolton Young Persons Housing Scheme.

Uganda's Moses Kipsiro was first to cross the line, finishing in 1:02:18, while Kenya's Edna Kiplagat successfully defended her women's title in 1:08:21.

Walker was positioned 3,482 across all categories, 2,909 in the male section and was ranked 227th in the 50-54 age group.
