Plymouth Argyle have completed the signing of Bolton defender Oscar Threlkeld, on a loan deal which will run through until January 2, 2016.
Threlkeld, who came through the youth system at Macron Stadium, has made eight senior appearances for Wanderers since making his debut in April 2014, but has yet to feature in this campaign after picking up a thigh injury during pre-season.
He stepped up his recovery by playing 79 minutes in the development squad's 1-1 draw with Birmingham City on Monday and will now get the opportunity to play regular first-team football at Home Park, having fallen behind the likes of Lawrie Wilson, Francesco Pisano and Josh Vela.
The 20-year-old, who has been handed the number 26 shirt, goes straight into contention for Saturday's game against Newport County.
