Paul Tierney will referee Friday's Championship fixture between Blackburn Rovers and Bolton at Ewood Park.

Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest on Saturday, while Rovers were beaten 1-0 at Brighton & Hove Albion on the same afternoon.

Tierney, who will take charge of the game, has officiated five matches so far this season - issuing 15 yellow cards.

His last outing was on August 25, when he was the man in the middle for Stoke City's penalty shoot-out victory at Luton Town in the League Cup. The Lancashire official cautioned five players in that game.

The last time Tierney refereed either Bolton or Blackburn was on March 11, when the two teams met in last season's corresponding fixture. Rovers ran out 1-0 winners that night, in a game where Matt Mills, Neil Danns and Emile Heskey were amongst four players to be booked.

Below is the full set of officials for Friday's game between Blackburn and Bolton:

Referee: Paul Tierney
Assistant Referees: Richard Wigglesworth, Steven Meredith
Fourth Official: Scott Duncan
