Reports overnight suggest Queens Park Rangers have agreed a fee with Bolton over the transfer of defender Tim Ream.

Ream's future has been the subject of intense debate in recent days, after news emerged that QPR and London rivals Fulham were both looking to prize the United States international away from Macron Stadium.

After initially rejecting the advances of the Hoops, who are believed to have made four separate bids for the 27-year-old, Wanderers officials are said to have accepted an offer that will allow Ream to discuss personal terms on Thursday.

Signed from New York Red Bulls in January 2012, Ream has made 126 appearances for Bolton and has picked up back-to-back Player of the Year awards. However, with financial restraints hitting the club's transfer activity hard, Trotters boss Neil Lennon looks set to cash in on one of his most sellable assets as he looks to build a squad capable of competing at Championship level.
