Adcock to Referee Middlesbrough v Bolton

James Adcock will referee Saturday's Championship fixture between Middlesbrough and Bolton at the Riverside Stadium.

Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 1-0 League Cup defeat to Burton Albion on Tuesday, while Boro were 3-1 winners at Oldham Athletic the following evening.

Adcock, who will take charge of the game, has officiated two matches so far this season - issuing seven yellow cards.

His last outing was on August 11, when he was the man in the middle for Northampton Town's 3-0 victory over Blackpool. Three yellow cards were shown that evening.

Adcock's last match in charge of Bolton was on April 11, when they were beaten 2-1 by Norwich City at Macron Stadium. Three yellow cards were shown that day, with Dean Moxey and Tom Walker on the receiving end for Wanderers.

The last time he refereed a Middlesbrough fixture was in October 2014, when they were held to a 1-1 draw by Watford at the Riverside. Five players entered the book that day, including four from the home side.
