Andrew Madley will referee Saturday's Championship fixture between Bolton and Derby County at Macron Stadium.

Wanderers go into the game on the back of a 2-2 draw with Charlton Athletic in their final pre-season friendly, while the Rams were 3-1 winners at Burton Albion on Saturday.

Madley, who will take charge of the opening game, officiated 36 matches last season - issuing 105 yellow cards and three red.

His last league outing was on May 2, when he was the man in the middle for Middlesbrough's goalless draw at home to Brighton & Hove Albion. Two yellow cards were shown that day, with one being shown to each side.

Madley's last match in charge of Bolton was on February 24, when they were beaten 1-0 by Boro at the Riverside Stadium. Six yellow cards were shown that evening, with Dorian Dervite, Saidy Janko, Neil Danns, Josh Vela and Emile Heskey all having their names taken.

The last time he refereed a Derby fixture was on January 17, when they were beaten 2-1 by Nottingham Forest at the iPro Stadium. Four players entered the book that day, with two players on each team among the recipients.
