Robert Hall will spend the final 12 months of his Bolton contract at MK Dons, after joining Wanderers' Championship rivals on a season-long loan deal.

Hall, who spent the final weeks of last season on loan at stadiummk, helping the club win promotion out of League One, links up with Karl Robinson's side for a third time - having also represented the Dons in 2012.

The 21-year-old joined Bolton from West Ham United in July 2013 but has struggled to establish himself at Macron Stadium, making just 35 appearances, and looks set to depart the club next summer when his deal comes to an end.

Speaking to about the latest move in his career, Hall said: "It was an easy decision. I'm just happy that I'm back here and I can't wait to get going with the lads again.

"Coming here last year and being given the freedom to go out and play my football revived my whole season. I got on really well with the gaffer and the staff and the lads were great too.

"This was an opportunity I couldn't turn down - at home, playing for a great club like MK Dons."

Dons boss Robinson echoed the views of his latest recruit, believing Hall has the potential to become a success in the second-tier after his exploits at the club last season.

"It was clear for all to see at the back end of last season what Hally is capable of and he's shown tremendous hunger and desire to want to come here for a third spell - we are more than happy to have him back too.

"He's an exciting young English talent and he'll add another dimension to our attack."

Hall was withdrawn from the Bolton squad for Tuesday's pre-season friendly at Port Vale and, having completed his move, will go straight into contention for MK Dons' game against Getafe.
