Tim Ream won his 13th international cap on Saturday, playing the final 28 minutes in USA's 4-0 victory over Guatemala.

Ream, who is missing a large part of Bolton's pre-season preparations in order to represent his country at the forthcoming Gold Cup tournament, replaced John Brooks just after the hour at LP Field in Nashville, Tennessee, as Jurgen Klinsmann's side warmed up for next week's opener against Honduras with a routine win.

The US took the lead with 20 minutes on the clock, as Carlos Castrillo inexplicably headed the ball past his own goalkeeper from a DeAndre Yedlin cross.

Yedlin, who has recently been linked with a summer move to Bolton, turned provider once again just before the hour, as he laid the ball off to Timmy Chandler. The Eintracht Frankfurt defender cut inside from the right, before drilling an unstoppable left-footed strike into the bottom corner to double the States' advantage.

Former Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur forward Clint Dempsey was given the opportunity to make it three with 17 minutes left to play, after Michael Bradley had been fouled inside the box, and he made no mistake from the penalty spot, chipping the ball beyond a helpless Paulo Motta.

Chris Wondolowski, on as a substitute for Jozy Altidore, completed the scoring four minutes from time, getting on the end of a cutback from Gyasi Zardes before tapping the ball into the empty net from close range.
