Bolton have officially announced the double capture of Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Amos and Sheffield Wednesday forward Gary Madine.

Amos, who played nine games during a loan spell with Wanderers last season, has signed a four-year contract at Macron Stadium, while Madine has put pen to paper on a two-year deal.

Both players join on free transfers, following the expiry of their contracts with United and Owls, respectively, and become Neil Lennon's first signings of the summer.

Amos had been under contract at Old Trafford since 2001, at the age of 11, but made just seven senior appearances for the Red Devils and has spent recent years on loan at clubs including Oldham Athletic and Hull City.

Madine, meanwhile, is looking to get his career back on track after failing to reach the heights of 2011/12, when he scored 18 goals for Wednesday as they won promotion to the Championship. He was jailed in October 2013 for causing actual bodily harm and spent much of last season on loan at Coventry City and Blackpool, respectively.

Amos has been handed the number one shirt, which has been made available following Adam Bogdan's move to Liverpool, while Madine will replace Dorian Dervite by taking the number 14.
