June 14, 2015 - Amos to Replace Departing Bogdan & Lonergan

Ben Amos will be unveiled as the successor to both Adam Bogdan and Andy Lonergan as first-choice Bolton goalkeeper over the coming days, as he closes in on a free transfer from Manchester United.

Bogdan's departure was confirmed on Friday, with a move to Liverpool set to go through on July 1 when his contract at Macron Stadium comes to an end.

Lonergan's release was rubber stamped last month and after rumours of a switch to Wigan Athletic appeared to fall on deaf ears, the former Preston North End stopper is close to joining Wanderers' Championship rivals, Fulham.

Incomings - Madine Deal Awaiting Confirmation

The 2015 summer transfer window officially opened on Wednesday, with clubs in England, Scotland and Wales able to conclude deals ahead of the new campaign.

One move that appears to have fallen silent is that of Gary Madine, who will become a free agent when his Sheffield Wednesday contract expires at the end of the month. Despite the lack of public dialogue on the move, sources close to the club indicate a deal has been completed and the player will be officially unveiled as a Wanderers signing when pre-season commences in a few weeks' time.

Reports last week suggested Bolton were preparing a £150,000 bid for Aberdeen full-back Shay Logan, whose performances this season earned him a spot in the PFA Scotland Team of the Year. (Evening Express)

Finally, this week, Neil Lennon is said to have missed out on the signing of Nantes defender Vincent Bessat, who will join SM Caen when his contract expires on June 30. Bessat has signed a three-year deal with the French side and is also reported to have rejected an approach from Charlton Athletic. (Sevenoaks Chronicle)
