Luke Woodland is among four Bolton players called up for international duty, after he was named in the Philippines squad for the first time.

Woodland, who has been with Wanderers since the age of eight, signed professional forms with the club in April 2013 but will depart Macron Stadium next month having failed to force his way into the first-team picture, despite spending the final weeks of the season on loan at Oldham Athletic.

The 19-year-old has represented England at under-16, 17 and 18 levels, but has opted to represent the Philippines on the senior stage and could make his debut for Thomas Dooley's side when they face a double-header against Bahrain on June 11, followed by a trip to Yemen on June 16.

Neil Danns is in contention for a second cap, after being called into the Guyana squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against St Vincent and the Grenadines on June 10 and June 15, respectively.

Republic of Ireland's under-21 squad aren't in competitive action until September, but head coach Noel King has secured two behind-closed-doors games against English opposition as he puts his players through their paces at the end of a difficult campaign.

First up, the Irish will play host to England C at Eamonn Deacy Park on June 1, before crossing the Irish Sea for a game against an England U21 select XI at St George's Park on June 5.

Finally, Barry Bannan, who spent the latter half of last season on loan with Bolton, has been named in the Scotland squad for their forthcoming games against Qatar on June 5, and Republic of Ireland on June 13.

Liam Feeney, who last week claimed to be 'weighing up' an offer to play for Northern Ireland, will not be involved in the latest round of fixtures.
