MK Dons boss Karl Robinson has brushed off speculation linking him with a £400,000 offer for Bolton midfielder Robert Hall.

Hall has failed to establish himself during two years with Wanderers and spent the final weeks of this season on loan with the Dons, who he helped secure promotion to the Championship for the first time in their brief history.

The 21-year-old has been heavily linked with a permanent switch to stadiummk this summer and although he has rejected talk of a bid, Robinson admits he is likely to discuss the matter with his Trotters counterpart Neil Lennon at a later date.

"Whatever you read about players we're trying to bring in, there's nothing anywhere near the truth," Robinson told

"Have I put a bid in? No. Have me and Neil Lennon spoken about him? No.

"Do I think Rob Hall is a talent and do I think he could have an impact at this football club? Yes.

"Do I want Rob Hall? That's a conversation between me and Neil Lennon."

Hall, who has 12 months remaining on his Bolton contract, has scored twice in 35 appearances for the club, but enjoyed a more successful spell with MK Dons, for whom he netted three times in seven games.
