As per a report in Monday's edition of the Express, Bolton boss Neil Lennon may be about to swoop for Real Madrid defender Derik Osede.
Osede, a 22-year-old centre-back, has progressed through the youth system at the Bernabeu and has spent the last three years playing for their reserve team, Castilla, in the Segunda Division B.
A former Spanish youth international, Osede is out of contract at the end of the season and is unlikely to earn a new deal as manager Zinedine Zidane looks to promote from the C team ahead of the next campaign.
Leicester City, Southampton and Watford have all been credited with an interest in the player, while Bolton could also face competition from Burnley, Nottingham Forest and Wolverhampton Wanderers for the in-demand defender.
Last week, speculation hit the web surrounding the future of Adam Bogdan, who looked set to choose between an improved £18,000-a-week contract at Bolton or a summer move to Stoke City. Latest gossip suggests the Hungary international has been offered a three-year deal to remain at Macron Stadium and is discussing the possibility with his representatives. (Twitter - Alan Nixon)
Neil Lennon's scouting mission in Spain continues, with Sergi Enrich still believed to be high on the list of potential incomings this summer. The Wanderers boss was reportedly in attendance to watch the Numancia forward feature against Llagostera on Sunday, but left disappointed after the two sides played out a goalless draw. Finally, as we reported on Saturday, Keith Andrews looks set to remain at MK Dons after agreeing to take up a coaching role when his Bolton contract expires on June 30. (MK Web)
