Robert Hall may be about to convert his loan at MK Dons into a permanent arrangement, after they tabled a £400,000 offer for the midfielder.

Hall, who has one year remaining on his Bolton contract, spent the final month of the season on loan at Stadiummk, as he helped the club secure promotion to the Championship for the first time in their brief history.

The 21-year-old has failed to impress since joining Wanderers from West Ham United in July 2013, making just 35 appearances over the course of two seasons, and looks set to be the first major casualty of the summer as Neil Lennon looks to create the necessary funds that will allow him to reshape a failing squad.

An independent tribunal ruled Bolton would pay West Ham an initial £450,000 when he completed his move to the Trotters, with a further £2,500 being owed to the Premier League side for each of the player's first 100 Championship appearances.

The Hammers are entitled to 20% of any profit made from a sale, although the figure of £400,000 being suggested would see them miss out on any sell-on fee.
