Neil Danns and Barry Bannan have been suspended indefinitely by Bolton boss Neil Lennon, after breaching club discipline.

Both players were left out of Wanderers' squad that travelled to Brentford on Saturday, with reports earlier in the day suggesting complaints had been made by guests at the Bolton Whites Hotel during the week, where Bannan has been staying since joining on loan from Crystal Palace in February.

Speaking after the 2-2 draw at Griffin Park, Lennon admitted he had no problem with players socialising but revealed a line had been crossed and he would enforce the maximum penalty on both players - including fines and self-imposed bans.

"I have to put a marker down and I won't tolerate it," Lennon told BBC Radio Manchester. "They have got a bit of making up to do.

"They are suspended indefinitely, until further notice, and they'll both be fined the maximum wage we can do.

"We will welcome them back when and if we decide it's the right time to do it.

"We're all big boys and I don't mind them going out and socialising but they've crossed the line with me.

"I have to set standards at the club and expect them to be followed."
