Tom Eaves played 84 minutes for Bury on Saturday, just hours after it was announced he would spend the rest of the season on loan from Bolton.

Eaves recently returned to Macron Stadium after an unsuccessful loan spell at Yeovil Town and took his senior tally of appearances for the club up to five, when coming on as a late substitute in Wanderers' 4-3 defeat at home to Watford in February.

The 23-year-old, who has also spent time on loan at Bristol Rovers, Shrewsbury Town and Rotherham United since joining Bolton from Oldham Athletic in August 2010, has agreed terms on a temporary stint at the JD Stadium and becomes a third Trotters player to make the move to their near neighbours this season - following in the footsteps of Joe Riley and Hayden White.

Eaves, who has been handed the number 18 shirt by the Shakers, made his debut on Saturday in their 1-0 victory at Mansfield Town in League Two.
