Bolton have completed the signing of Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Giles Coke, on a loan deal which will run through until the end of the season.

Injuries to players such as Darren Pratley, Mark Davies, Liam Trotter, as well as Neil Lennon's decision to play Josh Vela at right-back, has left Wanderers short on options in central midfield ahead of the final two months of the campaign.

Coke, 28, hasn't featured for Sheffield Wednesday since November and is out of contract at the end of the season, so could get the opportunity to push for a permanent deal if he impresses during his time at Macron Stadium.

Despite being at Hillsborough since the summer of 2010, Coke has played just 101 games for the Owls and has scored once in 16 appearances this season after spells on loan at Bury and Swindon Town, respectively, in recent seasons.
