Bolton face a nervous wait for news on the fitness of four first-team players, whose seasons could be over due to injury.

Wanderers boss Neil Lennon admitted earlier in the week that Darren Pratley, who hasn't featured since a 2-2 draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers in January, is unlikely to figure again this campaign after the full extent of his hamstring injury was revealed.

"Prats is long-term - he is going to be maybe another six or seven weeks," Lennon told The Bolton News.

"That injury came right off the tendon, so we may see him back before the end of the season but we may not."

In a season where Bolton have had to play without the likes of Mark Davies, Max Clayton, Liam Trotter and Craig Davies, amongst others, for considerable amounts of time, they were dealt a further triple blow when Kevin McNaughton, David Wheater and Zach Clough were all forced off the field inside the opening 45 minutes on Wanderers' 1-1 draw against Reading on Tuesday night.

McNaughton, who was making his first start since October, lasted just 12 minutes on his return to the side after receiving a straight kick to his ankle and lower calf region - which required him to leave pitchside on a stretcher.

Wheater injured his hamstring in an attempt to block a shot on goal, while Clough had to be replaced just prior to the break after a heavy fall resulted in him dislocating his right shoulder.

Bolton are waiting to hear news on the severity of those injuries, with McNaughton and Wheater's absences likely to see Lennon dip into the loan market in search of defensive cover, although Clough's campaign appears to be over with dislocations to the shoulder joint usually requiring at least two months of recovery time.
