An FA Cup fifth round tie at Crystal Palace will be at stake, when Bolton and Liverpool meet in a fourth-round replay at Macron Stadium on Wednesday evening.

Wanderers held their Premier League opposition to a goalless draw at Anfield last month, earning themselves a second shot at Brendan Rodgers' side in a game that will be screened live on BBC television.

Both sides go into the game in good form, with Liverpool having lost just two of their last 17 games, although Bolton's season threatens to hit a brick wall after a number of injuries to key players contributed towards a run that has brought just two wins from their last seven games (D3 L2).

Wanderers boss Neil Lennon lost the services of the influential Lee Chung-Yong on the final day of the transfer window, but moved fast to complete the signings of Simeon Slavchev, Barry Bannan, Filip Twardzik and Saidy Janko.

All four of those deadline day signings will be unavailable for selection, however, as they weren't registered prior to the original tie. Other names to fall under that category are Adam Le Fondre, Ben Amos and Rochinha.

With those seven names all ineligible to feature, Lennon has been dealt further blows since the draw at Anfield after losing Adam Bogdan and Darren Pratley to injury. Bogdan faces up to a month on the sidelines with ankle ligament damage, while Pratley suffered a torn hamstring in the 2-2 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers last time out.

Craig Davies is closing in on a return from a hamstring problem of his own, but Emile Heskey remains on the treatment table after hobbling out of the game at Anfield on January 24.

Zach Clough looks set to start against the Reds, after scoring three goals in the first two games of his senior career, while Eidur Gudjohnsen could partner him in attack after being rested for the weekend draw with Wolves.

Matt Mills was another to be given an afternoon off on Saturday, but could return to the side at the expense of either Dorian Dervite or David Wheater.

Andy Lonergan will start in goal, with Ross Fitzsimons taking up a place on the bench due to Bogdan's injury and the ineligibility of Amos.

In the opposition camp, Steven Gerrard looks set to start in what will be his 700th appearance for Liverpool.

Gerrard sat out the weekend victory over West Ham United, but is expected to return at Macron Stadium alongside former Wanderers loanee Daniel Sturridge - who was on the scoresheet after missing five months of the campaign with various injuries.

Philippe Coutinho, Adam Lallana and Jordon Ibe will all be in contention to feature, as they are charged with providing the ammunition for Raheem Sterling to fire the visitors into the last 16 of the competition.
