Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Lee Chung-Yong for an undisclosed fee, reported to be in the region of £500,000.

Chung-Yong, whose contract at Bolton was due to expire at the end of the season, joined Wanderers in a £2.2million transfer from FC Seoul in August 2009 and went on to make 195 appearances for the club, scoring 20 goals.

The 26-year-old hadn't featured for Neil Lennon's side since their 2-1 defeat at Huddersfield Town on December 28, after fracturing his leg whilst representing South Korea in their opening group fixture of the Asia Cup.

Palace first made contact regarding a potential move in the opening days of the window, but doubts were cast over the deal until scans revealed the player would be fit to return to action within a fortnight.

Chung-Yong has signed a three-and-a-half year contract at Selhurst Park and faces the possibility of lining up against Bolton on February 14, providing the Trotters make it through their FA Cup fourth-round replay against Liverpool on Wednesday evening.
