Bolton have completed the loan signing of Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Amos, after Adam Bogdan suffered an ankle ligament injury.

Bogdan suffered the problem during training on Thursday, with manager Neil Lennon revealing the 27-year-old is likely to miss between four and six weeks of action.

Amos, who has progressed through the academy ranks at Old Trafford, has made seven appearances for the Red Devils - the last of which came in January 2012 - but has spent much of the last few years out on loan, with spells at Peterborough United, Oldham Athletic, Hull City and Carlisle United.

The 24-year-old joins Wanderers less than a fortnight after Paddy Kenny departed Macron Stadium, having joined the club to cover for a previous Bogdan injury earlier in the campaign.

Amos will stay with Bolton until the end of February, where he is expected to provide cover for the in-form Andy Lonergan.
