Matt Mills has been voted as Bolton's Man of the Match in Tuesday's defeat at Rotherham United.

Mills, who continues to captain the side during Jay Spearing's time on the substitutes' bench, was part of a defensive unit that struggled in the opening 45 minutes, but he produced a much-improved display after the break and played his part in helping Wanderers back into the game after being asked to play as an emergency forward.

The former Leicester City defender narrowly saw off competition from Josh Vela and Liam Trotter to take the award, after they finished in second and third place, respectively.
